Demolition Supervisor/Manager Location – Hook Hampshire – The, role will cover the West of London, Surrey and the M3 & M4 corridor – Do not apply if you live East side of London the client is looking for people commutable from their office in Hook and will not consider anyone who needs to lodge away Salary - £Negotiable £55,000 - £65,000 possibly more dependent on experience My client is a successful expanding business who specialise in Demolition, Waste Management and Recycling. Due to the businesses continued expansion they are looking for a Demolition Supervisor/Manager to run numerous projects across the West of London, Surrey and Hampshre i.e. to the West of a North/South line drawn through the centre of London and then across to the Swindon area. The geographical location of the individual is very important. My client will not employ someone who needs to live away from home on a permanent basis so please only apply if you live west of London.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Supervisor ispart of the Demolition team and reports to one of our Contracts Managers. The Contracts Managers generally have multiple projects to manage. The role of Supervisor is a full time site based position on one project. Our Supervisors are accountable for the day to day supervision of a contract and any duties that are delegated to him/her by the Contracts Manager. The size, complexity and geographical location of the projects vary considerably. We carry out projects of any size within a 30 mile radius of our North Hampshire Head Office but we work throughout the South of England and, occasionally, beyond on larger projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that the demolition operations comply with all legal requirements including health, safety and the environmental matters • Ensure that we fulfil all our contractual requirements (e.g. drawn information, scope of works and specifications) • Supervise the efficient operation of the contracts ensuring that company and industry standards are met or exceeded where possible. • Discuss method statements, risk assessments, programmes and resource requirements, with the Contracts Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the project. • Complete labour allocation sheets, timesheets (and similar documents) in a timely manner and as directed by the Contracts Manager. • Discuss possible variations and similar matters with the Contracts Manager to ensure that site records are produced. • Maintain good relationships with clients, consultants and colleagues

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal Supervisor would have the following: • Several years’ of experience in supervising demolition projects • Demolition experience of a wide variety of different types of buildings and forms of construction • CCDO Gold Card (minimum requirement: CCDO Supervisor Red Card) • First Aid at Work Training • Non-Licensed Asbestos Removal Training • Fire Marshall Training • Site Environmental Awareness Training (SEAT) • Familiarity with emails and IT
